Need a Good Mechanic in the Boston/New England Area!

I'm buying a Gold Crown III located in Vermont to be assembled in Boston. Does anyone know a good mechanic in the area?

I'm also going to get the cushions replaced, looking for something top of the line that will last a long time (hopefully under $500). What do you recommend?

Whoever you find, ask if they did the Jillian's in Worcester. If they say Yes, run away!

Poor saps there spent a ton of money refelting and (at least what we were told) putting new cushions on the table and they play as bad as ever. Several tables had an actual bow in the rail that the players had to point out to get fixed.

Do you mean $500 including the cloth? Retail for Simonis 860, 9' is $300; Championship 3030 Tour Edition, 9' is $280. If the mechanic can get it wholsale and give you a break that helps a lot. It still doesn`t leave much for labor.

Give Tommy Lucchesi in Holyoke, MA a call. His family has been in the business since the Hustler. His grandfather did some of the trick shots in the movie itself and they are very well respected in the billiard world.
