Need A Review on Elite Pool Cue Cases

I'm looking for an inexpensive case for multiple cues. Not airline travel or anything.

I was looking at the Elite 3x5 Black ECN35 Nexus Original Pool Cue Case.
Amazon is blowing them out for $100 w/ Free 2 Day Prime Shipping
It's vinyl, but I'm cool with that.

The other cue case I'm looking at is the InStroke Premier 2X4.
Vinyl as well. Street price is $159.00 w/ free shipping.

Any thoughts?

I bought a similar case (2x4) and it was/is a good case. I used it for over a year and it held up very good.

I recently bought a 3x6 Fields case that was in the For Sale forum. I have to say, the Fields case rocks! Not only in function and craftsmanship, but the looks of the case is top shelf.

It's not a pretentious case, but a very classy case. If you look at his (chuck fields) last post for a case for sale (not the slightly used post) you'll see the one I bought.

The shafts and cue fit snugly into position and the single pocket is just the right size for everything you need for a night at the pool hall or at a friends house.

Do yourself a favor. If you really love playing pool and believe you won't buy another case, spend the money. If you want to settle, and compromise on what you really want, then the case shown is an excellent case and will give you years of service.

But my advice would be.....DO IT! Just do it!

The Fields case is a dandy no doubt. What I‘m looking for is an additional case should my wife and I want to go out to a Pool Hall together so we can just take our cues w/o draging all our gear or having to disturb our existing cases. Thanx for sharing. -S

I have an Elite 2x4 I got in the raffles here a while ago, no issues with it, exterior and handles all look and work fine, no issues with my cue or shafts inside it.

Although I am not a huge fan of those foam round holders, I'd rather have what the leather Instroke cases have, don't know if that vinyl one would have the same thing.

Another brand to look at that I like the quality of is Aska, I think I have only found them on eBay. Got my son a new 2x4 for about $50.

The 3X5 looks the same as the J&J 3X5.
Very popular but a J&J would probably be around $70.

The 2X4 Instroke case is a real nice case.
$159 is a little high though.

You can do better with the price.
