Hello all, I need some advice. I am flying to Vegas in a few weeks and want to bring a few higer-end cues with me, but I am a little nervous about checking them with my luggage. We all know how luggage gets lost or misplaced from time to time when flying! The only two options I see is that I take the chance with the baggage system, or I just leave the cues at home. I do not want to ship them either since I am only going for 6 days. Does anyone else have any other options? How do you usually fly with them?

Thanks for your help!

I bought a large Porper travel bag for the trip to Vegas this past May & it worked great. It held my 3x7 Instroke and a couple 2x4s for some teammates, no problem.

I did fly non-stop, so there was no layover for the airline to "try" to lose it.

Since the airlines quit letting you take them as "carry on luggage" I've been using a large suitcase I have that will fit the cues in their cases diagonally. I pack the cues first and pack my clothes and other stuff around them giving them even more protection. Used it twice to the Philippines and back with no problems.

When I went out west I packed my cues in my suitcase diagonally but I didn't have a case at that time (the case wouldn't have fit). I bought a case while I was out there so I shipped the cues home seperate from the luggage. Didn't cost a whole lot to ship them and I felt much safer with purolator than I did with the airline.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I thought about just packing them with my closes too, but I can only fit one case (2x4). Someone else suggested a hard gun case which will fit a few cue cases and to check it with my luggage because the baggage handlers have to deliver it to you personally. Not sure why that is though.
