need escrow advice for buying a cue

This past summer I was scheduled to use FastnLoose for a $4500 escrow but the deal got held up and hopefully is only delayed. However, when it happens, I'll have the cue sent to him for authentication of the cue-maker and also confirm the condition to be "as described". When big dollars are involved, you have to do that unless you buying from a reputable source like Cornerstone Cues, Cue Addicts, Superior Cues, Classic Cues, Recollection Cues, Sureman, etc.
I just did a purchase with Bill Grassley for a cue in this same price range and I didn't use any 3rd party......if I'm not happy, I can send the cue back and get a refund and better yet, as long as the cue remains in original condition, I can get full price trade-in value with Bill for any cue he has that's higher in value than what I originally paid.
How can you go wrong with that arrangement? That's why I bought my Prewitt cue from Bill because I know I can step up and get any cue in his inventory at any time and never lose a penny & of course, if I could sell my cue elsewhere for more, better yet. Cornerstone Cues Trade Back Policy is a powerful buying incentive when you start spending thousands on a pool cue. If other dealers offer this same policy, I'm not aware of it but that doesn't mean they don't.....I am only aware of Cornerstone offerring a full value trade back policy.
When you deal with an individual seller, and a lot of money is involved, it's foolish not to use an escrow agent for the mutual protection of all parties involved in the purchase.
