Need help finding a replacement cuestick tip

Hi,

So, this is my first time posting to this forum, but I want to get right to my question. Back in 1998, my late father bought for me a Playboy Bunny logo cue stick. I absolutely love it as it handles real well when I go to break, or for just regular playing on a pool table. A few years later, one of my ex-friends busted the tip, and I've been searching for a compatible replacement, and although there are some possibilities, I'm just not quite sure.

Fast forward to 2023, and now that I'm regularly playing pool again, I'm really wanting to fix the Playboy Bunny cue stick tip. I did some measurements, and I have concluded the sizes needed. First the tip itself on the cue stick in question is approximately 12mm. However, because the cue stick has an inner pole that measures approximately 8mm in diameter. Please see the attached photos for reference. So the white part of the tip has a hole big enough for the 8mm pole at the tip of the cue stick without it attached. Which is what makes finding a suitable replacement rather difficult. I was curious to know if anybody has an idea on what I should use for a replacement for the cue tip. All legitimate answers are welcome.

Please keep in mind the following: I'm on a limited fixed income. Any item more than $20 is just too rich for my blood. And because I'm on disability for a variety of difficulties including being vision-impaired (blind in my left eye due to having no eyeball in there), I cannot work to get more $$$. At least, not without risking my disability benefits.

Again, I've attached photos for reference. I appreciate any assistance anybody can offer to help me find a suitable replacement so that I may use my Playboy Bunny pool cue stick. Thanks in advance.

You need a new ferrule and tip, not much of a challenge for any competent repair person. If you want to do it yourself, it's going to be difficult without a lathe and a few other things that are required to do it properly. A $20 budget is going to be tough, most people charge more for their cheapest tip, let alone a new ferrule.

Jeffrey,
I am in Highlands Ranch, much closer to you than Loveland.
I'll PM you my contact information.

Guys,
I sent him a DM. I am within 10 miles of him. I'll take care of his cue for free - gotta pay back our vets.
Also, I can point him to several pool halls in our area. In addition, to APA, VNEA/BCA, and NAPA are regularly played here.

Hats off to Gary. I knew someone on here would step up and fix it for you. Bunch of good people on here. 👏
👏👏👏
By the way Jeffery, I like your cue. Very cool and good luck running balls.

Gary, you have restored my faith in my fellow man. What a generous thing to do. If no one close could do the repair, I would pay shipping both ways and install a new ferrule and a tip of his choice. You’re right, we gotta take care of our vets, especially those who were wounded. Thanks again Gary!

Just curious where you guys saw anything about being a US vet? Twitter profile says "43yr old cosplayer in a Starfleet admiral uniform."
That is Star Trek Admiral ;)

That crossed my mind, but I give everyone the benefit of the doubt until they show their true colors. Then, they become persona non grata.
