the last post by "X Breaker" in the attached thread, theres mention of a cue that was sold by mezz. that thread was in 2005, that post contains the only info on I can find that even sounds like the cue i'm looking for

the post states:
<<<<<<
I have treid this type of short jump shafts about 5 years ago. The shaft I tried was made by Mezz of Japan. It was build to fit a Mezz cue and was sold as an option to a Mezz jump break cue or breaking cue. It was a popular idea for a little while. I doubt if Mezz is still build those short shafts now. I think the interest sort of diminished over the years.

anyways, i seen one tonight, and of course its for sale lol, and i have looked for hours online trying to find any info, and that single post is the only thing i've found on google period... i cant find pics / pricing - nothing at all - very unusual, as i am good at searching LMAO

the butt of the cue says "Mezz Jump Break Cue", maybe mezz Break jump cue... but, defineately not the newer power break style
no other wording on butt or shaft, its linen wrapped - and has an extra shaft roughly 14-16 inches long - extremely fat, short shaft, might have an 18mm tip, its fat fat

i'm hoping someone on here can see this post and help me out

this has to be the most unusual j/b cue i've ever seen, it uses the full length butt, regular break shaft, or the full length butt and a seperate 14-16 inch shaft to make it a jump cue
seriously, its gotta be the craziest thing i've seen other than Earl Stricklands cue the other day

thank you

Doug

I've seen a few cues of that style in Japan. I think Adam also had a similar cue. IMHO, they dont jump as well as a standard jump cue. The balance makes it difficult to wield.

yeah, jumping was difficult

my jump cue i can just "pop" the ball just fine, the mezz i had to drill a hole into the cb to get action, it worked, but i had to kill it

and way to short for anything other than a dart stroke for me
i didnt care for the jump part at all, but i figure if it has value and i can pick it up i would, he wants 160 for it, on one hand, not too bad, on the other, i dont need another break cue...
but, it did break nice lol
