Check my signature for Schon Cues Archives,,,,,,,,,,you can ID your cue there. I'd do it but I'm at work right now,,,,,,,and I'm not really on this website at work, I just APPEAR to be, LOL

It has sharp points but is clearly not a Runde era Schon. I think they came out with an SP series not too long ago. The SP stood for Sharp Point I believe. Just glancing at the brochure, I think it's probably an SP-11.

send a email with a couple of pictures to info at schoncues dot com Evan Clarke or somebody else there in the know will respond with model/manufactured date/materials used etc.

good people.

It looks like it might have been one of the older SP series from about 1990. That was a transitional time there and some of those cues were still made with sharp, V-pocket prongs. Yours looks kind of like an SP-8, but perhaps with different inlays in the prongs, maybe like the ones shown on the SP-33.

See the following catalog pic link on Tate's site: http://www.palmercollector.com/Schon/SchonRandSPad1990.html

There is also the possibility that inlays were added later to a plain cue. I've seen some examples of this over the years of both cues that had inlays added later by Schon and also non-Schon inlays in them (i.e. by another cuemaker).

Yeah, yeah, SP = sharp points.....or sneaky pete....or special production...maybe super powerful. I don't know when it was made, but it is really nice. Why is it clearly not a Runde era Schon?

If 'SP' is the Super Production model, is the model 'S' just Super?
