I reached out to Scott Gilmore, one of two people in the country that Richard has authorized to work on his cues. (Scott did an outstanding job on a refinish and rewrap of my Bushka that Richard made for me. I played with a couple of Scott's cues, and both played pretty similar to my Bushka. I've ordered four of his cues to have at the house for guests...and me!)

This was Scott's comment:

It could be, he did do a design like it. But the joint pin doesn’t look right. I’d have to see it to make that call.
Maybe the buttcap construction will verify i have in the links?

Well, Glad i took a chance and got it. Richard Black sent me a text yesterday. He stated that it appears to be a cue I would have done in 1976. That was the first year I was making cues full time. The original price with 2 shafts would have been 150 bucks. . ...nope not taking a 150 bucks for it. . I cleaned the wrap best i could and now you can actually see the green speck cortland and i hand rubbed waxed and polished the cue. Looks great. Thanks guys for helping id the cue.
