Now, im planning on buying a new cue, either the Meucci Hi Pro 02 with the black dot shaft or the Viking VM18. I dont really know which company is the best or really what all the pro's prefer. I was also thinking of getting a cue around $100 and put a 314 on it. Im thinking of going pro soon, and I want some equipment that will help me out a lot. Can someone tell me what would be the best choice.

Pro cue

If you think you are at the level to be a pro soon...just get a better custom cue to begin with...spend the extra money for the extra quality...you will be glad you did..

It would be better to just get a custom? I dont really go for the design but the balance and how the cue works for me. Down here, the tournaments I go to are filled with people older than 21 and up to there 60's... now I place 3rd and 4th all the time, and im not even half the age of the guys who take first. I get that position with a 10 dollar warped, cracked and messed up snooker cue that has an elk master tip on top. I always thought custom cues were for people that wanted a cue that looked so good, god himself would want to play with such a stick.

You can get a plane one that shoots good for not a lot of money. It will last longer than the production cue you mentioned, IMO.

It's not how the cue looks or how it plays it the man who holds it .U can go custom .Look in to a webb or gilbert .But if you find someone that has a custom cue on hand ask to hit some balls with it and see how u like it ..What ever feels good to ya.
