I have a j flowers case made for pro player Bobby Williams back in the 80's He personally gave me this at my dads room Boca Billiards in Fl which he played at regularly. The case is in good shape for the age. normal wear and tear and a shoulder strap that was never used. take a look and let me know what you think. its a little dirty in the pics as this is the exact way I received it. Thanks in advance for your help.
Bob

If you have it refurbished, $500 or so.

In its current state, $300? Personalized items don't sell as well unless they have a lot of fans.

Call John Barton up, check with Ron Thomas, or any professional leather worker. Post a picture of the interior.

Other case makers post here and may be into refurbs, not sure. It may not be worth sinking the cash into.

there is a saddle maker here in our town, didn't think of him before i asked.. i bet he could do it as he restores old saddles. might be worth bringing it over.. the interior is in good shape,, the felt looks great on the tubes, no rips or curling, all zippers are good . rivets need to be cleaned and the leather rubbed down. but there is no tears that i can see. Funny thing is there is no makers stamp on the case. i wonder if Bobby told jay he didn't want the stamp.

Check inside the lid and pockets, I have seen them in weird places when there is tons of tooling

It's a great case an a lot of people are named Bob that play pool. And since theirs no last name on it
it will sell easily. Also you can clean it your self, just google cleaning leather all kinds of good stuff will come up. My self I won't sell that case for no less than 450.00 it's a great case by a great case maker
that has made cases in a long time, these don't come up for sell very often. Plus they were made here
in the great old USA. Just my two cents.

As long as there doesn't appear to be any actual repairs needed, I would suggest either taking it to any competent leather worker (your local saddle maker would be perfect) for a nice cleanup/conditioning or if you're feeling like it, do it yourself.

Great jef q case and I think the "Honest Bob" adds a little to the value.

what else you have laying around there? :grin-square:

best,
brian kc

The best way, clean it up a little, take good photos, give a very nice description of the case, and the history, and throw it up on Ebay, and the market will tell you exactly what it's worth.

My guess... a cool hundo, tops. I mean, it's an over 35 year old case. But hey, see what it gets bid up to.

Oh, and no reserve, I've proven that technique gets the most bang for the buck..... start the bidding at $10 and let the action freaks take it from there ;)

just talked to a collector of flower cases.. he said it brings 500 min cleaned up.. ill list it and see.ill post the links when i list it. Old cases are collectable so being 35 yrs old is a plus isn't it?

A friend of mine once said that any item is only worth what you can get for it. I can tell you with 100% accuracy what an empty tooled leather wallet is worth, zero ;)
