I am about to get a new 9ft Carom table.
It is 1 1/8 " Brazillian Back Slate.
What rail do I need to put on? I hear using K-55 instead of K-66 correct?
Felt? They are using Mali and cost $200 extra for Simonis. Is it worth the upgrade? Why/What make Simonis too expensive? I hear use Simonis 760 is good for Carom. Is it correct?

How about cue, what do you recommended?

Thanks.

K55 would be better than K66. K66 angles are short IMO. But better than that I'd get European rubber and modify the liner, assuming you're buying an American Made table like Brunswick.

Simonis 300 Rapide is the most popular. Personally I like Granito M. I think it's faster and by the way cheaper than Simonis.

But depending on what game you're playing. If it's not 3 Cushion I find a lot of tables with much slower cloth for straight rail. I'm not sure if it's an expense issue since players seem to chop up the cloth along the rail or if they feel it's easier to control the short rolls.

If you're playing 3C the premium cloths are a must.

There are straight rail play and also 3C play. So I guess premium cloth is a way to go.
YEs, I am buying American Made table -- Craftmaster.
