can anyone elaborate on the connection between predator and poison cues? it is my understanding that poison is made by predator. is that correct or does poison simply incorporate the same shaft technology?

Poison is owned by predator and made by them. I am a player rep for Poison and the contacts I talk to about my sponsorship is a Predator employee.

I believe the reason they don't publicize this is because when they came out with Poison, they didn't want it to hurt the predator sales. But I think it's great that Poison is owned by predator, same quality products for cheaper price.

Poison Cues are made by the same people as Predator Cues. If you go to both of their websites, you'll notice similar graphics. If you go to their Contact page, you'll notice the same snail mail address.
From what I read, Predator initially created the Poison Brand so that they could gain some market share on mid price cues, while at the same time increase prices on their new line of Predator cues (5K, IKon, LE/SE, Blak, P3), thereby escalating Predator Cues to the 'Higher End' Market.

Does this mean you no longer play with OB Cues, 308?

i have the BK2 and the poison vx jump/break and imo the poison is not even in the same ballpark as the BK2. As far as playing cues i have no idea, but for the breaking the technology can't be the same.

Nope, I play with a poison cue with a predator Z-2 shaft. I love it!
