My tip came off tonight im not sure what kind it is but i really like it. On the underside there is a "J" need a little help identifying it.

The fact that you can read a letter on the underside of the tip tells me why your tip came off. The bottom of the tip is supposed to be well sanded to level the gluing edge, remove the glossy finish and any embossed writing. If the ferrule is well faced, sanded and glue applied evenly, your tip won't pop off.kamasutraguru said:
Are you sure the "J" isn't a "G" meaning "Glue side"?. Is it a layered tip or composite?. What color is it?. How hard is it?.

The "J" is pressed into the bottom of the tip its not a "G". I don't see any layers but the tip is very hard. The bottom is brown but the top is almost black.
Yeah, its a Tiger Jump/Break tip. As mentioned above, if you don't want the next one to pop-off, make sure whomever does the installation sands the glue surface so that "J" is no longer visible. That is why your tip came off.kamasutraguru said:
