Ok here's my issue , back in December I bought a new 8ft pool table and needed lighting quick and didn't think about it , so I went to home depot and bought track lighting for a hundred buck looked nice in the begining but notice a few days later that their was shadows all over the place on the bed of the table , Now instead of returning it i figured well I'll just use them over the bar I plan on getting .

So now I want to get Fluorescent Lighting but don't really know what type of light I want because there are alot Fluorescent Fixtures out there so I wanted to here your surggestions ,because I want to improve the light over the table .

Here's what I have now .

Color temperature and something that takes the diffusers

Selecting the color temperature you like is personal choice, bluer appears brighter, yellow appears warmer and is gentler on skin tones which probably doesn't matter for this use. You do need light fixtures or a frame to hold them that allows the use of the diffusers, grating to even out the light.

An option that I am interested in is an LED light such as someone was selling on the forum awhile back. Moderately priced and I think 600 lights or so in a unit. The LED's should provide good light, low energy consumption, and of interest to me, low heat. Having to air condition things almost year around down here, heat sources are always an issue.
