Need input on Ted Harris cue repairs

If you've had repair work done by Ted Harris (specifically, refinish and rewrap), how was it?

My other prospective repairers are Ryan Theewen and Scott Sherbine. I'm considering Ted first, because he is the only one who lists the wrap color I want.

P. S. Sorry if this isn't the right forum.

All of his work is excellent. Call him.

He was the reapir man at Valley Forge for years. I bought a cue he made that played very well. Ted is well liked and I never met a player disappointed in his work.

never heard anyone say anything bad about his work. Couple of years ago he had some terrible turn around times, and failed deliveries. Have heard that he's doing better with that now. But I would ask around some more if it was me and verify.

People like his repairs, and his cues and most everyone seems to like him as well.

I can't comment on the quality of his work, but a few ago he was involved in some serious disputes with customers. After reading about these events on easypooltutor.com, I pretty much made up my mind that I would never do business with him. I wouldn't play with one of his cues if you gave it to me. I can't say what he's like these days but you should know that he has some negative history.

Good luck,

Eric

I don't know about Harris' work personally...
But I sent an X-Breaker to Ryan to have a wrap path cut & leather wrap installed. I told him what kind of wrap I wanted (not run of the mill) & he had one on hand already. His work was inexpensive & dead perfect.
Don't assume that "listed" materials are any indication of available materials. These guys do this for a living, you won't be #1 in line when your cue arrives anyway, and they know where to get what they need.

None better than Ted, I have two of his cues. They play great and the finishes are tops. You can't go wrong with Ted Harris.

Forgot to mention the last time we spoke he said he stays backed up and has cut back on his travel to tournaments. If your looking for a quick turn around you might check with him first.
