Need instructions for jumping

Is it harder or easier if the table has no slate at all?

I don't think it's funny at all. The guy is asking for advice. This forum is supposed to be dedicated to the pursuit of pool and imparting knowledge of same to people who are looking for it. I'm sure Mr. Rosenstock could have given a much better reply than he did. I think it's insulting.

Oh shoot, I was gonna say, the best angle is none vertically, but a very good understanding of the horizontal angle is much much better.

I think there is a not too-shabby-world-class player whose least favorite part of pocket billiards is jump shot.

If it was up to me I'd ban the jump cue, but some players jump easily with their playing cue and I'm not worth a darn at it.
