My brass insert twisted it's way out of the shaft on my viking break cue. Bummer!
My thanks to Royce Bunnell at OBCues, he was kind enough to send me a new break shaft, which I just received today. Looks great, waiting till later to play with it. Customer service was excellent and arrived safely here in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, I'd like to stuff the hole so to speak to protect the end of the shaft from possible damage. At least until I get back and make repairs. Perhaps I could get someone to lathe me up a delrin threaded cap? Inside diameter of the shaft where the brass insert is the same size as the standard viking quick release. I'll have to get the exact measurement a little bit later when I get a chance. Thread size doesn't matter, just as long as it can dig into the sides of the wood so it doesn't come out on it's own.
Shipment would be via usps to an APO address, I have several means of payment, paypal, western union, or money order as a last resort (slow). Please send me a pm, but allow for a couple days to respond, it can be difficult at times to get to an internet connection. Thanks!
