I need a recommendation for a competent pool table guy who can take down, move and reassemble plus install Simonis 860HR properly using the glue method if appropriate for that table. Project is to take a 1973-era Brunswick Monticello 8ft table from a home in Mesquite and move it into my building just outside Paris TX. Includes installation of my Simonis 860HR, plus possible cushion, subrail, pocket angle work in addition to standard moving, recovering leveling and assembly. To go on bare concrete floor inside of 30x40 metal building with garage-size overhead door for entry.
The table may have one cracked slate according to the owner who had it repaired many years ago and says it plays level since then.
In the last couple of weeks I looked in the mechanic list here, and tried to contact two who say they cover Texas , but no replies.
I have two names:
Larry Dyer, who I think I know. His card says Recover, Restoration, Move, Assembly.
Also JC Billiards, but his card says only Move, Install, Re-felt.
Craigslist has any number of so called table movers, but I have no confidence in them.
The current table owner once used the services of someone working out of "Sunshine Pools" near her, and she was happy.
Please help soonest if you can, otherwise I have to take Craigslist pot-luck. Yeecch..
