Need OB-1+ Shaft Feedback

I hit some balls with a OB-122 cue with the OB1+ shaft the other day and was curious if I bought a OB-1+ shaft for my steel joint Schon if I could expect the hit to be about the same? I know the joint of the 2 cues would be different but not sure how much that would affect the hit of the OB-1+ shaft on my Schon? Thanks for any feedback!

i have many cues and use ob 1 + with the same brand /hrdness tip on all
the cues feel alittle different based on weight and balance and grip size /type of wrap but play pretty close to the same

Thanks, that helps! Basically I was hoping I could just get an OB-1+ shaft for my Schon without having to buy a OB butt to get close to that same hit/feel of the OB-122 cue.

You should be able to. I played with OB Shafts with Lucasi’s and other cues for years before I switched to OB. They make good stuff.

That 122 has a 3/8x10 pin with a wood joint right? Your Schon will be much stiffer with its ss piloted joint.

The joint doesn't really make it any stiffer. Taper of shaft and overall taper of cue defines the hit. I've had stiff hitting wood-2-wood and soft hitting steel piloted cues. I've hit a couple SW's that were SUPER stiff due to their taper.

It won't affect your play at all. I have two OB-2+'s that I switch around and it doesn't seem to make any kind of noticeable difference.

This hasn’t been my experience, but I haven’t hit a ton of cues either. YMMV.
