Hi everybody I need opinions or feedback on any billiard tournament software that is being used currently. I really would like to hear if there is a best tourny software and why. Thanks All, C-Man

Mr. Ingrate, Dave Syrja (sp?) posts at CCB, maybe here too (?), specializes in just this sort of thing. Pm him?

Yes, Dave Syrja (pronounced Syria) has a software program.

He used it at one of my events and at The BCA 9 Ball Tournament in Las Vegas this past November.

PM him, he can give you all the info in addition to a free trail.

A group of Microsoft Certified developers have been developing a complete tournament and league top-to-bottom solution. From what I've seen, this solution is quite a bit more complete than other product offerings and I might add "spectacular". (believe it or not, these geeks do play pool)

Here's some preliminaries;
1. 90% reduction in overall data entry and management
2. Player entries are more easily managed
3. Enhanced Tournament and league promotions to assist success
4. Supports any league or tournament whether unique or part of a larger association (e.g. BCA)
5. Cool benefits for players too.

The deal is that this service will be offered via web site: INATIONALBILLIARDS.COM. (right now it seems to be parked at GoDaddy)Launch date is March 15, 2005. The plan is that an early registration for league and tournament managers is sometime during the last week in Feb. 2005 to get promo stuff. I'll post when I see it up.

Thanks for the mention Eydie. The latest version is on the web site http://www.davespooltools.com and now has LARGE chart pages. The documentation shows the large pages in actual size. Names in the large chart pages are in 18-point type and the new design makes it very easy to see when you play next, win or lose, and where your opponent will be coming from if not listed. Here is a link to a .PDF file which shows the Scotch doubles from the National 9-Ball in the old standard chart pages and the new large pages. http://www.members.shaw.ca/pooltools3/charts.pdf. You can print them (make sure the "fit to page" box is UNCHECKED) to see how much larger the print is.
