Need some help in finding a good shaft for a Lucasi Hybrid LHE30

Well, league had one high point last night. I played about perfect and beat the opposing teams best player. The low point was that sometime during practicing before league, my the shaft on my Lucasi Hybrid LHE30 bent! (Only had it two weeks). This was disheartening to say the least, because my girlfriend bought it for me as a gift and I love the way it played. It had the 11.75mm Zero Flex Slim shaft with the uni-loc joint. So I loved the way it played, and it had a lot of sentimental value. I want another 11.75mm on it.

Unfortunately, I don't think the Lucasi lifetime warranty will apply since she bought it for me while we were at a certain pool hall in Des Moines. Maybe they will make it right with me. I don't know.

My main question is, what 11.75mm shaft would you guys recommend that would fit the Lucasi Uni-loc joint?

Should I get the same exact one, or are there some other really good performance shafts out there I might want to consider? If so, what do you suggest?

Thanks,
Jeff

Will an OB-2 uni-loc fit it? What tip would some of you prefer to use? Kamui, Moori? Medium, soft?

I would exhaust all efforts to find an authorized Lucasi repair shop to see if the warranty is still good and have it repaired if you can, but I also would go ahead and buy another shaft for it anyway. My recommendation would be the OB Classic Pro (11.75mm).

And people on this forum have wondered why anyone would feel the need to carry an extra shaft with their cue. I think the OP's reason is right up on top of the list why. Does anyone here really think the OP would have left the bent shaft on his cue and played the match with it while having another perfectly straight back-up shaft in his case? I highly doubt it.

Thanks, I was just checking out OB shafts right now and as far as the original shaft, I have been sending out contacts to Lucasi and also where it was purchased. So that OB Classic Pro uni-loc will fit the Lucasi uni-loc joint just fine? What tip you like the best?

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff, I'm going to tell it like it is: "One man's junk is another man's treasure" is and old saying that applies to many things, cue tips being one of them. I've tried an awful lot of them in my time, but if someone were to put a gun to my head and make me make a choice, it would be these:

Non-laminated tip: The old tried-and-true Triangle

Laminated: Moori medium

You could ask 25 more people which non-laminated/laminated tips they prefer and get at least 20 different answers (or more).

As far as the OB Uni-Loc question, just call and speak to someone at the shop. They have a customer service department like no other. They're gonna take good care of the problem.

Anyone have an opinion on how a Universal Smart Shaft plays compared to the OB shafts? I was looking at those as well.
