Need some help with Rick Howard contact

I have a Rick Howard shaft that I feel is the best shaft I have. The taper is amazing and feels perfect. Someone told me that he uses two different tapers. Does anyone know anything about his tapers and which one I have?

I sent Rick an email asking him if he can make some more shafts, but he never responded. Is there a better way to get ahold of him to get another shaft or two?

Without actually being there, it's hard to say, but if you have a set of calipers I might be able to help.

*IF* the shaft is 13 mm, then measure the shaft 18" from the tip. If it's .590, then it's his standard taper. If it's in the neighborhood of .610, then it's his stiff, or old, taper. Both tapers start to grow at the 6" mark. The stiffer one just does it quicker.

I just got a new Steel Jointed Howard with the stiff taper, and it is my favorite taper. Nothing wrong with the normal one, but the stiff taper really feels solid and still moves the cb around with ease!!!
