need some help with this cue.

That cue certainly looks like a Mottey....probably made sometime since 2003ish. They sometimes used that PM logo on cues that had woods in the forearm where a signature wouldn't show up well, or it was requested.
Value? I'm guessing no ivory options....that would put a played cue with one shaft like this in the $600-850 price range.

The joint and hoppe ring look like ivory. And i think the ferrule is as well.

the butt was phenolic and not ebony
and the PM appears to have been laser engraved though the finish
according to a well known cue maker
in other words nothing stated here was accurate and
I would never trust this person

i pointed out several of these things day 1 but he would not refund the money
i had them checked out and verified my suspicions

Sounds like it could be a very good fake then. Jim or Paul may could tell with detailed pics of the cue, including the joint and butt cap. Pics looked good, as I recall.
Missed the pics =( Guess I'll stay away from Motteys on Ebay for awhile until it is out of circulation.....
