Need to re-tip my cue ASAP - NYC

Anyone know when Danny Barouty is at ABC doing cue / shaft work? My tip needs replacing and I need it done by this Sunday. Any ABC kids know his schedule?

Alternatively, anyone know someplace other than Masters where I can get this done soon?

If you can't find someone, just do it your self( if you can find or have the tip). It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. if you play with a single layered tip it's REAL easy, even without a lathe. the layered tips are harder to do, but it can be done. If you were in the middle of nowhere I could understand not finding a repair man, but NYC? I would guess that you could choose between several tip men. Even in my small town of 40,000 people we have about 4 guys that can do it anytime. good luck on your search
 
Normally I do it myself, but I've got a Predator shaft and the ferrules are *soooo* soft. Have to be way careful with the razor blade when you remove the tip and then try and make it flat for the new one. It's too much of a headache without a lathe.

I've heard the same thing about the predator ferrules. You're right, if it can be avoided it's probably not worth the chance of messing up the ferrule. Oh well just a thought

Dan runs the straight league pool for Amsterdam, he should be there this Saturday and Monday. Call Amsterdam, ask one of the managers to read Dan's contact info from counter brochures.

I believe CueMaster98 (Duc) has a lathe, try PM here at AZB, he can probably meet you at Masters or Paradise.
