I made a few jps for my cues. Mostly on the joint pin side, but I have two for my wood thread shafts to make them easier to grasp. I can't understand all the negativity towards them. Although it's less likely to drop or whack the threads on a table, I still like to have them on since all my cues go into the case pin down. It keeps pressure and impact forces off the joint while in storage or transit. Plus it keeps the threads clean. I also clean my cues every time after I play, maybe I'm OCD. I wouldn't carry a cue around without a case like some of you crazy barbarians!
