Nelsonite in Australia

Finish on cues

I use linseed oil,and a soft cloth. Rub it on,and wipe it off until cue is bone dry,and repeat doing this until you start getting a shine to the cue, after about eighty to one hundred applications, you will have a sealed cue that is beautful, and only needs to be maintained with a soft dry cloth. It's a lot of work, and few people will take the time, but you dont want to use anything that is going to cause a rise in the grain on the cue,[I assume hard rock maple]

linseed oil is fine until you start messing with Burls in which case it's practically useless . I've tried Deeptreat by Spescoat http://www.shipways.com.au/SPESCOAT DEEPTREAT.doc.pdf
which is ok and sounds similar to Nelsonite but the liquid hydrocarbon being used to deliver the goodies is Mineral turps . At the moment I'm messing with a mix of that and Poly-U to thicken it up a little !
