Never going on a vacation again, taken 10 days to get back to normal.

First vacation in about 6 years. Went to Lake Tahoe with the kids and grand kids. Of course old grandpa paid. Had fun, Lake Tahoe is so cold I could only go in the water up to my knees. Came back home, started to practice, could not make a ball. Took a few days to get halfway back to normal. Took quite a while to get back into my rhythm. Finally back to where i feel good playing.

No more vacations for me. Flying sucks, shuttle service sucks, sitting in the airport blows. Only if i can drive somewhere close, with in 4 hours or so. I missed my pool table.

I took my pool cue last time I went on vacation. That's so frustrating when you are missing shots you know you should be draining.

IF you truly wanted a "vacation," you would have went by yourself.

next time you want to take a vacation
send me the tickets and pre pay the expenses and i will let my game suffer by taking a vacation
while you get better by practicing....;)😂

I feel your pain. The airport i use is albany NY. It is so quiet in there it reminds me of the Langoliers. I Typically fly to Orlando though, which is not. But To be fair, orlando airport is super organized and easy to navigate.

Life is about tradeoffs. To me, if you had a great time on your vacation, you made the right choice. Even the greatest take breaks from practice. In fact, if you go back 60 years, most pool rooms weren't air conditioned, and even some people who played the game for a living took a few weeks off from playing during the summer. You are following in their footsteps.

You're not wrong about this. I hate going down to the airport to fly somewhere, and I'm a retired airline pilot.
Haven’t been to an airport since 25 yrs. ago, when I left my car parked in front of the main entrance at O’Hare (E-lights flashing) for one minute while helping a friend I was dropping off carry their luggage through the doors. When I turned around it was already towed.
