This was my first year going to the DCC and just like Jay going to Johnston City, I couldn't get there fast enough. My flight was delayed and then re-routed.... I got there 2 hrs later than I was supposed to and even though I was there all week (fri night til the following sun afternoon) I'm still pissed that I lost those 2 hrs.

After you walk in the lobby, it's a straight shot to the action room. I couldn't wait. I dropped my stuff off in the room, grabbed 2 beers (I thought the bar closed at 2 but it closed at 4). I came across Steve Lomako & Satman... sat with them watching the woofing, drinking beer, greeting a ton of people that I hadn't seen in ages and thinking how much fun the next week was going to be.

Thanks for showing the article. Reading it took me right back to my first DCC (modern day Johnston City). I could relate to the excitement Jay had. Great story Jay! Thanks for digging it up coolchicky!
