Ortmann with a tough shot after a Jasmin safe. He's down 36-99. He's eyeing a dead ball in the stack.

Nick VDB running out. Down 92-80.

Ormtann just made a great rail-first shot. Can't believe he played a shot that aggressive. Got on a ball to open up the stack. Looks like he's starting a run.

Meanwhile, VDB trailing 92-88 against Hohmann. VDB at the table with his break shot. This one is really anyone's game.

Nick's tempo is noticeably slower than Hohmann's, but it doesn't seem he's being overly cautious. He's just running out with deliberation.

Jasmin / Ortmann : Ortmann wins the safety battle with the rail-first shot. Runs the rack and currently trails 50 - 99 with a break shot.

Jasmin / Ortmann:

Ortmann is really getting the short end of the stick when it comes to his break shots. He's either stuck against the pack or left without a shot.

Trailing 50-99, he eyes a tricky 7-ball. He's got a tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny pocket, but manages to make it regardless. So continues the run.

Allright Jasmin is down on a shot-Wait she gets up-thinks differently. Sorry gotta run.:)

Hohmann / van deb Berg:

Nick has taken the lead.

Um.... in perhaps the worst timing for a raffle drawing, they're doing the cue give away right now. WTF? Ortmann is shooting regardless. He doesn't give a f*ck. van den Berg is taking time to sit while they do this silly raffle. The audience is afraid to clap for the raffle winners, in fear of the wrath of Oliver Ortmann's glare.

Some guy named Cecil just won the cue. And then he won the consolation prize. That just *had* to be reported. I wonder if he's a personal friend of CW's.

Oh my god. You're kidding me... Cecil just won the THIRD straight raffle prize. He *must* be a friend of CW's.

Ortmann still at the table, trailing 64-99.

He just had his break shot and got the shaft *again*. He's left without a shot. It basically looks like a one-pocket break, but he's not shooting at his pocket.

Clearly Ortmann is frustrated at his lack of shots from the break. He attempts and missed a tough cross-side bank that he had to shorten up. He should stick to rail-first escapes.

Jasmin at the table, ahead 99-65. She's got a shot and a decent rack to run. Shouldn't pose any big problems, unless someone snaps a photo of her with a flash like earlier in the match.

Hohmann / VDB resume. Hohmann at the table with two balls left. Setting up for break shot. Hohmann currently down, 95-99 about to shoot his break shot. He nails it, and continues his run.

Jasmin / Ortmann: Jasmin is navigating what has turned out to be a tricky rack. She's slowed down her pace a bit. She's not taking anything for granted. She beat Mika, and now she's trying to go through Ortmann.

With the above current responses, I find this thread to have a nice flow to it..................he's in a tought spot...

Jasmin / Ortmann:

Jasmin with three balls left on the table. She doesn't look to be in any trouble. Plays a nicely controlled shot to get on her break ball. She currently leads 112-64.

She makes her break shot and has a shot on the 15-ball. Unfortunately she's near the rail and has to play a delicate shot to get on her next ball, which she does. She's got two more balls before she can break up the stack. She looks like she's maintaining the pattern to open up the stack.

Hohmann / VDB:

Hohmann slowing down his normally quick straight pool pace. Still at the table shooting.

Jasmin / Ortmann:
Jasmin hasn't managed to break up the pack like she wanted. She's only got a few more chances before she's stuck.

Yup, she's stuck. She waited too long, and missed her break out. Now she's in the kitchen with her cueball and there's a cluster around the spot. Not a happy Jasmin.

Jasmin plays safe. Separates an object ball and the cueball with the cluster. Ortmann looks unsure of what to do next.

Hohmann / VDB:
Hohamm really slowing down his tempo. I've never seen him take so long to run 4 balls. He's making super sure to win this match against VDB.

Jasmin / Ortmann: Jasmin ahead 126-64
Ortmann just had a mental lapse. Let Jasmin a shot. How did this happen? Doesn't he know I have a bet on him?

Hohmann / van den Berg: Hohmann plays safe, is ahead 110-99
Nick has lost his hair. And perhaps gained fifteen pounds (or is it the vest?). He used to be cute. Now he looks.... not cute.

Jasmin / Ortmann:
Jasmin just played a great break shot. Doesn't seem to be showing much signs of nerves..... FOR A GIRL!!!!

Hohmann/ VDB: Safety central. Yawn. I'll post updates when I wake from my nap.

Jasmin / Ortmann: 140-64
Jasmin still continuing her run, currently at 41. Has a good break ball from the right side of the table. She's eye'ing up this one pretty good. It's an easy miss. And indeed she missed it. Ormtann back to the table with options.

Hohmann / VDB:
VDB beat Hohmann to the shot and is at the table. Man, this one's a nail biter.

The nail-biting continues: VDB makes a great break shot.... and scratches off the stack. Ouchies.

Jasmin / Ortmann:
Ortmann doesn't seem to be looking in top form here. He's getting a little out of line. If he gets his head on straight, he can run 100. If he doesn't, Jasmin is making it to the final 4.

Ortmann has a relatively easy rack to run, but he's getting down on himself. He missed position on a ball but still has 3 or 4 backup balls to shoot. I don't see why he's getting so down on himself; it seems to be throwing him off even more.

Hohmann / VDB: 121-100. Hohmann with the lead.
Hohmann still at the table with his break shot. Safety battle is on.

Jasmin / Ortmann: 140-79. Jasmin leading. Ortmann at the table.

Ortmann finally with a break shot that results in a nice spread with balls to make. He's got his pick of balls, with a number of insurance balls afterwards. He plays a nice shot with the bridge, and shouldn't run into any problems with this rack.

Hohmann / VDB:

Safety battle continues. Hohmann is in a tough situation. He's on the side of the stack, with balls in play on the other side of the stack. Let's see what he comes up with.
