Can anyone tell me how the new 314-2 Predators (3/8x10 pin) feels when hitting the cue ball. Is it a more solid hit or is a harder or softer hit than the original shaft. I have a Mc Dermott cue that I am planning to buy one for but I and wondering about the hit. I like the shafts but I would like the hit to feel a bit harder.

I like the "hit" better on the 314-2 over the first generation. The hit feels more dense "solid". I feel the cue ball better. I also find that you get a bit more action from the 2nd generation. I hope this helps.

I had a radial pin 314-2 and currently have a 3/8 10 314-2. Both feel much more solid to me than my 1st generation uniloc 314 (all had Moori tips installed). The difference to me was night and day. I am not sure if it was the pin size, ferrule size or what. But it has a much more solid feel.
However, I still prefer a solid maple shaft for playing since I use BHE. So I got Kevin Varney to modify my 3/8 10 314-2 into a break shaft and I attached it to a Frey sneaky. Wow! It hits a ton!!!!!!!
