I played in a Vegas qualifying tournament today with an entirely new format.

Its called ....team captains championship. Open to team captains only. You can have 5 on the roster but only 3 play each match with a handicap limit of 15.

Rules below.

You make your 3 man line up before the start of the match .
You start with your lowest and work up to your highest handicap.
Each player plays a race to 1
Player a starts out with 8 ball
Player b plays 9 ball
Player c plays 8 ball
Player a plays 9 ball
You continue until your team reaches their required points
Each rack is worth 1 point.
If your team wins the first rack your team continues breaking each rack until you lose then the other team breaks each rack until they lose.

Talk about pressure. Each rack is important. There is no race to 4-4 or whatever where you could afford to lose a rack .

Again....just like I say after every one of these Vegas qualifiers ....always next year. We came in second. I think I played a total of 15 racks this tournament and won 12.

There is a few more rules but this post probly long enough .

They ran that here in our state this weekend, some folks that play in our division won, and will be joining us in Vegas in August.

When I saw your post, I was hoping you qualified that way...darn it

Race to 1. Ouch, talk about rolls not getting to even out.
Interesting way to give every team a shot though.
