Another new ball technology?? When does it all end - pool has become so much like golf in the last ten or so years.
How did Mosconi ever run hundreds every day with those old crappy balls and cues?
Better to focus on doing right what we do wrong instead of looking for some magic bullet. I know I sound old but so many golfers went through drivers, putters and golf ball technologies without any change in their game.

Mosconi was not burdened by ubiquitous social media.............and thereby had time to <gasp> practice.
It's all what you are used to. For hundreds of years society went through time keeping half of its members cooking and making babies as their main life goal and there was not too much uproar over that till 50 years ago, a blip on the timeline. Every product line tries to progress to make money for the manufacturer or they will become a victim of competition. Renting VHS tapes was fine for Blockbuster, using dial-up was fine for AOL, making the same lower quality cars was fine for US automakers, all found out the hard way sitting still is the same as moving backwards. We have 100 cerial brands, 20 different cream cheeses, forget about makeup, that stuff takes up 6 isles in a Target, pool has had like 3 or 4 good sets of balls to pick from LOLAnother new ball technology?? 100%, give me a bar cue and some master chalk and I'm good to go.

Agree, please give us back the maroon 7 the Moby Grape 4 and yes the orange 5. I don't want to see any brown, pink, or lime green balls on a pool table, save those for the snooker people

There may be an improvement in durability. The Aramith Pro Cup Measles cue ball seems to stand up to the bricks on my fireplace better than the Aramith Premium balls. If there's a difference in how they play, I'll never be good enough to tell.
The Measles ball, in my set,(I think it's the Pro set) Does the same with radiators. Always holds up, very well.

They need to up their quality/QC. Imo aramith got lazy being number 1 for so long. Dynasphere is a better-made ball. I am interested to see what comes out of this.Another new ball technology?? When does it all end - pool has become so much like golf in the last ten or so years.
