Just saw this on Appleton's FB page: https://proballshine.co.uk/ Looks kinda pricey to me. Kinda curious as to what's in it. Special mix or just some re-packaged off-the-shelf stuff? Says it reduces kicks by 95%. Pretty bold claim.

The retail market for billiards is looking good.

There may be an excess inventory of discounted and used pool tables soon.

I also have made purchases during COVID to stay sheltered.

Skidding is not a problem for me, I get humidity.

I Hope You’re Right......But I Don’t Think So.

See below post....this was a dupe.

The retail billiard market depends on home owners.

Home owners depend on having a steady income.
A steady income means also having a steady job.

There are so many people struggling to stay afloat,
pay their bills, remain safe from the virus, protect
and feed their families that retail sales of durable
goods are going to suffer. There will be lots of used
pool tables but people have got to be confident in the
future about their health and jobs and income before
getting a pool table jumps up on the list of things to do.

Pretty nonsensical if you ask me - given the relative rarity and randomness of kicks there's no practical way to measure it, or even to know if there's an improvement at all.

Does this mean skids to the rest of us?
It should mean that, but I don't trust that website to know what they're talking about.

Yeah, I thought the exact same thing. How can you claim something reduces skids by 95%, if you can’t even set up a skid on purpose to measure the claimed improvement? Total BS.
