New Billiard Encyclopedia lised on eBay

Anywhere near that price is a steal. New, I have seen this book list for $700 for the first edition & $550 for the 2nd.

I thought there were two versions of this book. A limited edition worth big bucks, and a normal one, which is worth about 100 dollars. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Todays price, on the same book as ebay, at Amazon is $350.00 while at Barnes and Noble it is $1300.00
So at $100 it is a good deal.
It is worth it to buy a copy.
Loaded with tons of information about the game of pool but not a bed side book - massive and heavy.

Here you can clearly see there are two versions, one that retailed for 179 and the limited which retailed for 700.
The second edition rolled off the press in 1996 and has been a highly sought after collectable item.
It will bring what people will pay for it and I have seen sales on e-bay get to almost $500 for the same edition (traceable through the ISBN).
The limited edition starts selling at $1000 but I have never seen one to determine what is different (I have what you called the normal edition).
So there may be those who hesitate chasing this one because the seller is in Taiwan but if the seller is legit the price is still very good.

Its really a heavy book, I can not find the space to hold the book on my bookshelf.

I bought the 3 books together from a dealer who import a hudge amount from BilliardEncyclopedia.com several years ago. One for my personal use and one sold to my friend, this is the last one. Its not a limited edition.

Enjoy biddding, it is worth to have one.

Thanks apline9430,

I done many deals with Erik Lee, and Jack Madden, Pete Omen, just call them to ask about me.

Or you can check my feedbacks of my ebay account.

The book is normal edition, not the limited edition.

Awesome book and I am still reading it.
Good luck in the auction.

I must have been out to lunch for several months!! Apparently early last year, they were having trouble getting rid of these books. I bought one on BilliardEncyclopedia.com for $39.95!!!!! plus shipping. It was originally listed for $139.95, and when I clicked on the website it came up as $39.95. I thought it was a misprint, so I called them and they said it was no misprint. So I bought it. Looking back, I guess I should have bought 100 copies, but who knew?

Seems like when supply is available no one wanted them.
Got mine for $100 shipped a year ago to the day.
Recently the interest is the game has created a demand.
So it will be very interesting to see how the auction closes.
