New Black Spots

I have had a couple Black spots come off &/or fold up some. Anyone have tips on how to get them to stay better? I went and got a pack of 50 (smallest amount they sold at local store) to replace my missing / damaged spots. Have yet to apply them thou.

I don't use them. I would rather have a line forming a T from the spot to the rail at the foot of the table. That way I can spot balls behind one another dead on. I also put two dots at the bottom of my rack to match two dots on the cloth which makes it easy to make a perfect rack everytime. I also put a line across the head spot across the table. Use the diamonds to line up the lines. Make them as thin as you want. Who needs spots man? I hope this helps you out, it did me.

Alot depends on your cloth. If you have a worsted cloth they stick pretty well. If you have felt forget it.

As a TD I come across this problem quite often. My best advice is that before you lick the back of the spot drink some Sprite 1st then lick the spot and stick it to the table then drink the rest of the Sprite to get the nasty taste of the glue off your tongue. Also, DO NOT use a ball to smooth it out. Use something like the can the spots come in or a glass with a smooth bottom. Apply pressure and circle motions to generate a little heat from the friction. The spot should stay on just fine after that.

Used Sprite for pre application and a beer for post. Worked like a charm. Shot glass I had has a perfect bottom that is rounded. Thanks for the info. And now this morning considering selling the table. LOL Lots of work and then mind changes.
