New butt from Mezz…

Anyone knows what kind of joint is keeping the parts together?? (Slightly interested in this cue for travelling purposes, in a backpack.) Worried that a 2piece butt is a total fail….

I don't think it makes a big difference when you are down on the shot but balance point does make a difference in how the cue feels in your hand when you pick it up. I'd prefer to have an easily adjustable cue to find what feels best and then make my cue match that. A couple of my cues have the weight bolts deep inside, they could be lightened moved back to to get the balance closer to the butt.

because I have a cheap Predator Butt that also feels kind of cheap and plastic-ky,
with radial, Mezz ignite shaft

I have two strong preferances in cues, radial pins and the ability for a good extension system

by switching to this new butt, presumably I get all the benefits of a higher quality Japanese made butt, plus the new features of this particular butt, and also the ability to use the Mezz extension system probably around $600 total

not that I've seacrhed that hard, but I'm not convinced many good custom cue makers would make me a radial butt with extension system below $600
