Having simonis 860 installed this week
I have a used centennial set thats a bit beat up with some cracks and a new measle ball thats now got concrete marks from being jumped off the table twice

how long should my cloth last before needing a new one,
I have a table cover, use glove so no chalk volcano

Should I just get a new centennial set or will my older one work
also will the marked measle ball add extra friction? Should it also be replaced

thanks for any and all advice

Also can the sides be taken off so the wood can be restained
do the rubber rails come off without having having to redo the cloth

just curious if I can do any of these things without losing the new cloth

Table

Which make&model of table do you own?photos? It must be tough playing pool on the ceiling...
Your best interest will be to prep&stain the wood before new cushions installed & cloth recovery..
New cloth and cushions definitely calls for a premium set of balls.
The worn and scuffed up balls will eat up the cloth.
Home use will never see traffic like a poolhall but quality matters at home to.
Centennial balls are very expensive, I suggest at least aramith premiums, super pros if you can and some aramith ball care products. Or go all out and get the brunswick centennial ball set:thumbup:.

Was told by ken at classic billiards its a 1 or 2
so looks like I am getting new balls with the cloth and just hold off on the wood work for a while, need to find someone that can do it, also need to learn how the table is disassembled

it has pits like that all over the top of the table
ill stretch out the project instead of trying to get everything done at once

still have the return system to buy and install
I would also like to have all the metal trim and castings buffed up
also eying the gold crown light

So I decided to go with the super aramith pro set
im happy with the savings and quality bout same im certain
the look is the only tiny difference other than the retail price

Bout how often do the balls need to be cleaned
same with the table got cleaner for both
