After much debate I purchased a Lucasi hybrid. Ordered the LHF10 in a 18 Oz & had a kamui black clear super soft tip on it. Looking forward to shooting with it next week. Anyone shot with lucasi's much?

I had bought a lucasi cue recently from a friend who needed quick cash, anyway the cue plays really good! Fit and finish were as good as any other production cue! You should be happy with your choice

Why does it seem like everyone plays with soft or super soft tips?? Im not saying anything is wrong with them, I am just curious to the reasoning behind using the softest tips available? I tried a couple of Kamui softs and really did not care for them too much. It made my cue feel real dead, like you could barely even feel the cue contacting the cue ball.

I'm not sure. I've always played but never been serious about never knew about the different tips & what not. So I got a new cue & hated the tip. Was told I should start out with a soft or super soft tip @ 1st & work my way up. Although the guy the put my tip on said he's been shooting soft tips as long as he's been playing. I guess it's more preference. Maybe its a mind thing not sure. I know my cuetec played entirely different once I changed to a predator soft.

I never gave Lucasi much of a look, but was in a shop picking up a fresh glove and decided to hit some cues. Grabbed some McDermott and Viking (this is Wisconsin after all) and they were decent. Then randomly grabbed a Lucasi that looked nice on the rack and hit some balls. I was super impressed, exceptionally nice feeling and hitting cue. Really seems to punch above its weight class, or price class in this case. Lot of cue for the money and some nice looking classic designs as well as modern sporty designs.
