hi guys, i have an idea of having a cue made for me in the next months and i just came across this thread:

this might not be a popular design, but i fell in love with the cue and the old-house-cue-idea and the reverse-pin. is there any cuemaker who would make a similar cue from an old house cue? without the inlays and the ivory. two shafts would be great. what do i have to expect prizewise?

ok, thank you, what about die availability (is this even a word?) of old house cues that can be used?
 
I have aprox. 100 'house cue' butts in stock for just such a project. I'd re-taper the butt to better align the points and refinish. It would come with 2 brand new shafts or you would have the option of 2 new Predator shafts if you like. The Preds. would be more money.

I have about 15 or 20 shaft blanks that have been hanging in my shop for better than 15 yrs. Normally I would get $300 ea. for a finished shaft made from these. They are very well aged. If I were to build this cue for you and you wanted 2 of these shafts, they would be $250 ea. for the matched pair. The Predators would be considerably cheaper.

While I certainly encourage you to continue this thread in hopes of generating other offers, I would request that we continue our business through 'private message'. I try to exercise a certain level of discretion in my affairs.
