You better have a REALLY straight stroke to use one. I tried the Z Pred for about a week and hated it. 12.5 is about as small as i can use. I also think the 12.5Cyn is a helluva shaft.I use the standard cynergy12.5mm, radial, stock tip
it is phenomenal and I am currently rotating it with a Mezz ignite, also phenomenal
the cynergy holds its own and is the real deal
i would question the benefits of a 10.5mm tip, might be worth to get your hands on a cheap snooker cue to see if you like the smaller tip size
I just recently purchased a Z-3, and it has replaced my Revo as my daily-use cue. I think for all of us it's just finding what "feels right" for us.You better have a REALLY straight stroke to use one. How often do you suppose the "missing" part of the larger tip is needed to contact the CB?You better have a REALLY straight stroke to use one.
I'm not gonna start arguing with you. I just know i play like dogshit with little shafts. How often do you suppose the "missing" part of the larger tip is needed to contact the CB?

No arguing... just this comment for the peanut gallery:I'm not gonna start arguing with you. I just know i play like dogshit with little shafts.
I don't use an open bridge much and i have long fingers. Anything under 12.5 feels like a drinking straw to me. I played my best pool with a 13.1 ivory ferruled cue when i was younger. No arguing... just this comment for the peanut gallery:
Assuming the same curvature, a 10mm tip is identical to a 12mm tip with the outside 1mm removed. That outside 1mm is only in play when using maximum side - maybe not even then depending on how flat the tip is.
Of course confidence is a critical factor, so play with what you trust...

The Billiard Factory in Houston might have one to try in their shop. Here in Jax, we can do that at the Billiard Factory.I'm playing pretty good for my level with a wooden 11.75 . And looking for a small dia carbon shaft here in the near future, which is why I'd like to try one but doubt anyone near would have one on hand. And not gonna shell out 400 on a whim
I didn't even think of that thanksThe Billiard Factory in Houston might have one to try in their shop. Here in Jax, we can do that at the Billiard Factory.
I have long fingers too, but always play with an open bridge - except in close quarters where a closed bridge is more compact, and even then my index finger is just looped loosely over the top, barely touching the shaft. I assume that's a big difference in how things feel to you and me.I don't use an open bridge much and i have long fingers. Anything under 12.5 feels like a drinking straw to me. I know my 10mm tip isn't physically more precise, but it looks like it and that makes me play more precisely....could be good to be that precise.
