New Dates plus new US Open

Barry's US Open will start on a sunday and end on a Saturday this year. Oct 14-20.

Also in November there will be a US Open Ten Ball, One Pocket, 14.1 and Banks Championship. These events unlike Barry`s will be open to male and females and are not associated with Barry B as far as i can tell.

The new dates were announced here at the DCC. Barry was standing right threre and they emphasized ending on Saturday so Sunday could be a `day of travel`.

I think the new US opens are being promoted by Diamond and it is basically an expansion of their past US Open One Pocket Championships. It is in Louisville but not at the DCC hotel but another hotel in town.

I can't say that I like the change.
I think it is a bad move, but nobody asked for my opinion.

US OPEN events

Hey everyone,

There are 4 US Open titles going on at the Qlympics. More info at www.playbca.com.

The guaranteed add is $5,000 on each US title and a total of $10,000 add in all of the BCAPL amateur events.

The Bank (Full rack) and One Pocket are during the first week (starting on Monday the 5th and going through Friday the 9th) - the 14.1 and 10 ball are the next week (Monday 12th through Friday 16th).

The amature stuff is on the weekends.
