About $200 on Amazon after the $30 discount, depending on the model. This is for a full cue, not only the shaft, plus a decent looking case. Comes in different diameters. The reviewer says the smoothness is the same as a Revo, the deflection is much less than the Cuetec, and a hair more than the Revo. He seems like a straight shooter.

There could also be a lot of Asian factories actually making the tubes from scratch.

Anyway the reason I linked this one is the reviewer said it was super close to the Revo. I'm probably going to skip it, just passing it along.
For sure, carbon is no big deal anymore. A pool shaft doesn't require the super hi-strength cf that say a golf shaft would so materials cost is low. Once you're tooled-up these things are cheap. You can buy tubes as low as 20bux in bulk. A BIG part of the hi-dollar brand's price is in their advert/marketing costs. No way a cf shaft should sell for more than about 300bux MAX. Carbon's 'inertia' is such now that the market will swallow up just about anything that's made/priced well. Co's like Rhino are making $ even at their price level.

I just bought the CUEDESG carbon jump/break cue and looking forward to testing it out. I’ve been looking for a carbon jump/break combo cue for a while and there aren’t that many out there in a reasonable price range. The other part I like is that it’s simple and doesn’t have a huge ugly logo on it:
BlackOut/Surge/BKRush/Kaiser/Breach/Rhino…
A lot of pool brands have horrible designs.
