New Dynasphere - Xenon

Seems like Dynasphere just released some new pool balls. The Xenon set looks very promising. Traditional colors and a measles ball.

The description has it listed as Dynaphex resin. Does anyone know if this is still an equivalent to phenolic resin? Also if anyone knows the price it would be very appreciated. I couldn’t find pricing on their website.

the Prime series are lower price line. rockwell # is only 40 so i'm guessing its some new form of poly-resin. they also are lighter. must aimed at the recroom/gameroom table market. no clue as to why they think these are needed.

Maybe typos on the new set, but here is their Tungsten set specs for comparisons. Weight, density, and hardness are all way different. Diameter is 2.250 inch on both sets.

There is a market for cheaper poly-resin balls. I just know why they thought they needed to be in it. I msg'd them to see what they have to say.

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. They are already the budget brand with super high quality balls. Offering a polyester line will just dilute their reputation. Bad marketing move, IMO.

There's a huge market for poly resin balls. People looking for good balls know the difference. won't hurt their bottom line at all.

Unfortunate that these will be poly resin. If this color scheme with a measles ball was made in phenolic it would fly off the shelf.

I prefer a measles ball otherwise I would’ve bought them already haha
measel ball was invented for tv/streaming. why is having spots on the ball a big deal? i play with a guy who brings his own and i honestly have never looked at the spots to see what juice is on the ball. ever. un-needed gimmick tbh.

I like it for when I’m doing drills. Helps to see how accurate my shots are. Both in terms of intentional spin applied and unintentional spin applied depending on the drill.

Need spots on the cb to tell you that? how the ball(s) react isn't enough?

This is what the wife bought me for Christmas. We tend to buy whatever we want so we always give each other some little things we want but didn’t bother to buy.. I’m looking forward to trying them out. I love the colors.

Yup I saw this yesterday, I was researching to get a new set of balls with dotted cue ball, I ended up with the Dynaspheres Vanadium 572 set and a Dynasphères red dotted Cue Ball - Pool Belgium Style 572.

Interesting take with this "cheap" ball set line up that they have:

- Carbon 572 - this is a copy cat of the Aramith Black tournament set

- Xenon 572 - this is a copy cat of Aramith Tournament set (traditional color) but with dotted cue ball (nice move), as well as the Brunswick Centennial set

- Lithium 572 - this is a copy cat of Aramith TV Super Pro Pool Ball Set

I assume the price point is from $50 - $100, it will sell like a hot cake for recreationally players, have-fun home table owners, low and medium end pool halls, and in Asia and Europe, maybe in USA too if they have better distributors.
