New Frey sneaky?

Thinking about getting another sneaky, and was looking at cuesnthings at Freys sneakys i'd really like the to have a stainless joint. Wonder if anyone has played ,or owned one of his sneaky's with a stainless joint.

nope, but if the joint is solid s/s it's hit too hard IMO. I like some wood to wood connection there, but thats just MY preference
 
I dont know much about freys sneakys. But i have a scott zachow sneaky ebony and maple ss joint 5/16 14 and i love it. But i also like a firm hit of a full splice ss joint. My sneaky gives a little crisper hit than my schon ss jointed cue. Hope this helps. :)
 
I, too, prefer the flat-faced wood/wood joint. I think they provide the best feedback, for me, anyways.:)

With the right cuemaker, and the right pin set-up, a flat-faced wood/wood joint can feel extremely solid and responsive, IMHO. I am currently playing with a Josey fancy full-spliced sneaky with a Radial pin. Because of Keith's exact tolerances, this cue fits together very solidly and securely, with no loosening during play. Feels just like a one piece cue to me, and it is very stiff. Plays like a dream!:D

I am guessing the full-splice is the difference. I know Scott constructs his cues from 'scratch' and without the benefit of CNC's.
