New game I haven't seen?

I played a fun game where you only had 3 balls on the table the entire time worth different points and you would end the game by intentionally fouling like he did. Forget what it was called though.
 
I believe that game is called cowboy. I've never seen it played in real life but it was included in a virtual pool game I had.
 
I'm familiar with both aforementioned games, but I can't imagine it being played in a tournament setting on a snooker(ish) table. I figured cowboy was more a game that you played with banger friends when you're trying to pass the time waiting for another table to open up.
 
It Russian Pyramid. Played on a 6x12 with super tight pockets and balls slightly bigger than carom balls.
 
That was my first thought, but I wasn't aware of a black ball used; only 15 (?) whites and a yellow.

Must be pyramid or a variant thereof, the table is the same and the commentary is in Russian.
