Hi everyone
I've been lurking on this site for a while and was recently granted permission to post. I can't tell you how informative, entertaining and motivational it has been. Until recently I hadn't played in 35 years. To put that in prospective the last tournament I played in I hitch hiked on the Mass Pike [ you could do that then] to A great pool room in Boston called Bond's. I had a new cue that I bought for about $80. It was a Palmer. Can't remember what happened to it, but being the sharp guy I am I probably sold it for 25 and thought I did ok. The reason for my post is mainly to say that this site has been a wealth of information and has caused me get back into the game I truly loved so long ago. As a side note I'm pleasantly surprised how fast my game is getting back to speed. The eyes aren't what they were and my brain often tells me I'm capable of making shots my body can no longer cash, but my gut for the game hasn't missed a beat. I've reached a point where I feel I need to get off my family room table and get out there for some competition in order to get to a higher level of play. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
