I am just getting into Cue "Making" and Repairs. I'm looking at buying all the Regular Drills, Taps, Boring Bars. I have a few Questions.

What do you guys suggest to buy?

Is there a Place to buy it All at once?

I have looked at the Normal Places online. Just wanting to know all my Options before buying.

Thanks
Zack

Shorter tooling is more rigid; solid carbide is more rigid than HSS.
One of the cuemaking suppliers may have most of what you need in one spot; couldn't tell you for sure. The idea of "buying it all at once" is a bit of a dream, though. It seems there is always another tool to buy. Quality is rarely cheap as far as tooling (or cues) go.
Best of luck.

Search Cutting Tool Distributors near you like New Orleans
The big ones are MSC and Grainger. Locally owned Old Stand By would be Dixie Mill. They will either have or can order anything you want.

Some of the taps are pretty specialized and normally purchased from a cue makers supply .
Like atlas or Chris Hightower ( Cue man billiards )
There is the guy from HK that is selling 3/8x10 modified taps .

As of cutters, I don't know how the rest of the cue makers do there cuts .
But pretty much all of my cuts are done using a live cutter on the tool post .

As of drill bits ,, a normal box of good quality drill bits are needed .
But pretty soon you get a collection of special drill bits and they are only used to drill certain holes ..
Like the 5/16 carbide bit I have ..
There are also gun drills for coring .....

Some taps are spesific to cuebuilding, and only a few places sells them.
I recomend making kits consisting of carbide drill, HSS reamer and tap for each spesific type of joint.

Not sure if this is within the rules of the forum to recomend spesific websites?
I get my taps from Atlas, I have bought Carbide drills and HSS chucking reamers from Northbay cutting tools or Shars.
I have also bougt taps from Cuefits, those are fine too.
Some more exotic sized reamers I have picked up on various places.
