New here - looking for some info

I have 2 cues, one that I'd like to sell and one I'd like to get appraised. About 25 years ago, I picked up a Robinson cue used from a local pool hall, that is no longer in operation. Wound up getting a second shaft for it maybe 15 - 20 years ago. Simple figured maple with Ebony points and a linen wrap. As you can tell from the pictures of the Robinson, the one original shaft was well loved & used. The second was used lightly and kept in much cleaner condition than the original shaft.

My friend that I played pool with 20-30 years ago had parents that moved to Vegas and he placed an order for 2 different cues from South West. About 5 to 7 years later, his order came up and he got the cues a few months later. He wanted to check them both out before he sold that one he didn't want to me.

How can I get the cues appraised? I have no idea what a Robinson goes for these days and searches haven't turned much up. Some fancier ones were listed in eBay for $2500 - $3000, but those are more elaborate than the one I have. Not sure if there is someone in the SF Bay area that appraises cues. I know there is a listing section for selling cues here on AZBilliards, but not sure where the correct forum is to get info on appraisals. Want to get the SW cue into the home owners insurance, hence the desire for the appraisal.

do they have the pin in the shaft. that is what he did as far as i know. thats a deal breaker for me.
your pin is hidden.

the only two ive ever seen that i know was his. both didn't shoot how i liked so wasn't interested. but some very good players swear by his cues.

there is less collector interest for non ornate cues nowadays, so i would start at 1500 to 1800 and see what reaction you get.

Additionally, try to get a letter of authenticity from Southwest. That will help you out.
