Has anyone hit with the new spliced shafts and if you have how is the feel compared to a predator or OB1

New Joss shaft

I met with Dan Janes of Joss a few weeks ago.
He informed me about a new Joss shaft out , I believe they call the Joss Hi performance shaft. the shaft is similair to Predator shafts in construction.

I did not get to hit with one yet so I can't answer your questions about that. I believe retail price is somewhere between $180-$220. I got the info a few weeks ago so I don't recall. I will find out for sure and repost.

If anyone wants one of these shafts send me a pm.

This email is from Dan at Joss, Hopefully it helps. If anyone wants a shaft please Pm I'd be happy to answer an questions.

Carl,
I haven't had the time to put together any lit. on my shafts yet. But at the same time I've sold about fifty (a few repeat customers) and everybody has given me a positive review.
It comes in a eight (8) or ten (10) segment shaft. All the segments are pie shape and there is no hollow in the middle.
All the shafts come with a Wizard tip and a 3/4" capped ferrule. The diameter that I prefer to make is 12.75 mm but because I make all the finished shafts here I can give you what ever you want. The price at this point is $210.00 but will change about mid May to $220.00 for eight segments and $240.00 for ten segments. All shafts are 29 inches long but for $20.00 additional I can make any length up to 30 inches or shorter.

Regards,
Dan

apples to apples

I'm not quite sure if you guys are compairing the same type of shafts. these are similair to a predator which has the same retail price range. The prices posted are retail prices. If you guys wanna try one of these before you knock them to hard, send me a pm.

8 or 10 pie splice segments; how do these differ from the Dominator or Matrix shafts which are already available?

I don't see where Predator has anything to worry about. Predator is king and always will be.

I find it interesting that given Predator's success, everybody and their brother now wants to ride the coat-tails.

I have one. It hits great. It's not low deflection, which is what I wanted. It has an Aegis ferrule, and plays rock solid. It's not a shaft for the low-deflection junkies. You actually need to know how to play with english to use these shafts. They hit a little stiffer than the standard Joss shaft. Mine is 13.25mm.
