New Mali quality?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the new "vintage line" of Mali cues. I know they are made in China now, but so far they are the only sneaky pete i have seen with sharp points at both ends, which I love. Does anybody have any experience or know the quality of their cues now? Wood selection, construction, warping, glues, etc?

I have owned two Mali's.

This is the first time I have ever seen the words "mali" and "quality" used so close together.

lol did you own the newer ones? Basically what I want to do is get the sneaky pete and chop it up to use as a full splice blank. Just wondring if the splice and wood might be good enough to make it worth it.

Decent cues for the money

I had one of the Vintage Series Mali cues recently. It was a great cue for the money in my opinion. Regardless of it being made in China or wherever I was happy with the fit, finish and quality of the one that I had.

I agree I own a mali v-6 as well as a lot of custom cues. The mali hits great for the money regardless of what people say. You can make as many balls with it as any other cue.
